Nestle is implementing a significant reduction in its workforce, cutting 16,000 jobs. While the company has suggested that robotics will play a larger role in its operations, financial data suggests a different trend in investment.
According to a report from Food Industry Executive, the company's capital expenditure has declined alongside its headcount. Spending dropped from 6.0 per cent of sales in 2024 to 4.8 per cent in 2025, with further reductions guided for the current year.
