Colombian Pork Chip Recall

Colombian Pork Chip Recall

A Miami-based firm has recalled potato chips containing pork cracklings due to import eligibility issues.

Inexport Logistics LLC, based in Miami, Florida, is recalling 189 pounds of potato chips that contain chicharrón, also known as pork cracklings.

According to Food Safety News, the recall was triggered because the products were manufactured in the Republic of Colombia. The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service has noted that Colombia is not currently eligible to export meat products to the United States.
