The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a public health alert concerning canned chicken Vienna-style sausages imported illegally from Jamaica.
Food Safety News reports that Jamaica is not eligible to export meat or poultry products to the United States. FSIS is continuing to investigate how the sausages entered the country.
