Kenya has introduced a comprehensive coffee revitalisation programme with the goal of tripling its production levels by the 2028/29 period. The initiative focuses on expanding coffee cultivation into previously untapped regions to boost the national harvest.
According to Food Business Africa, the strategy is supported by a surge in funding and significant investments in infrastructure. These measures are designed to accelerate growth and modernise the sector.
The government is also implementing reforms within cooperatives to streamline operations and improve efficiency for farmers across the country.
