The Rukuriri tea factory, located in Embu, has shifted its focus towards value addition to improve income for local farmers. The facility is now producing a variety of teas, including ginger, lemon, and traditional black tea.
According to Food Business Africa, these new products carry Kenya's Mark of Origin. This strategic move is designed to boost consumption within the domestic market while simultaneously targeting growth in international sectors.
