The Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues in Food (PRiF) has officially wound down its operations. The group, which operated under the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, focused on providing specialist advice regarding the surveillance of pesticides within the United Kingdom's food supply.
Following the final meeting of the committee, the chair praised the group for the positive contribution it made during its tenure. According to Food Safety News, the committee played a key role in monitoring residue levels to ensure food safety standards were maintained.
