Ghana has introduced a strategic roadmap spanning three to five years designed to strengthen its horticultural seed industry. The initiative focuses on enhancing productivity and securing the supply of high-quality seeds for farmers.
According to Food Business Africa, the government is targeting a yield of 20 tonnes per hectare. This goal will be supported by the introduction of new seed varieties created via a collaborative research project with partners in Nigeria.
