Heineken UK Backs Regenerative Barley

The brewer is partnering with agricultural experts to help UK farmers transition to regenerative malting barley production.

Heineken UK has introduced a new regenerative agriculture programme focused on the production of malting barley. The initiative aims to provide essential support to farmers across the UK as they adopt more sustainable growing methods.

According to a report by FDI Forum, the company is collaborating with a network of specialists to deliver the project. This includes partnerships with maltsters Boortmalt and Muntons, as well as barley merchants Cefetra and independent agronomists from Soil Capital.
