Health officials are tracking a significant rise in Cyclospora infections. According to Food Safety News, the total patient count across seven different outbreaks has now topped 17,000.
The CDC has indicated that the scale of the issue is likely larger than initially thought. There are at least 11,844 additional patients within these outbreaks who are currently awaiting confirmation.
