A significant Salmonella outbreak has been confirmed at the Broome County Correctional Facility in New York. According to a report from Food Safety News, the infection has affected more than 300 individuals within the facility.
The Broome County Health Department and the Broome County Sheriff's Office issued a joint statement on 27 May. They confirmed that the diagnosis was reached after multiple test results revealed the presence of the bacteria.
