Children Hospitalised by Contaminated Puree in Israel

Several infants required medical treatment after eating tainted baby fruit puree bought from specific stores.

A number of children in Israel have been hospitalised after consuming contaminated baby fruit puree. The affected product has been identified as Prinok brand puree.

According to an epidemiological investigation by the Ministry of Health, the products were purchased from Zol U'Begadol stores. Food Safety News reports that at least four children were affected by the contamination.

The children involved have since been discharged from the hospital.
