World Coffee Research has launched a new genetic breeding project valued at US$1.5 million. The initiative aims to transform global coffee production by utilising data-driven breeding and advanced genetic tools.
According to Food Business Africa, the project focuses on accelerating the development of new coffee varieties. A primary goal of the research is to improve disease resistance for crops across the globe.
