Health officials are investigating a widespread outbreak of Cyclospora parasite infections that has affected 145 individuals across 17 states. The victims reported becoming ill after consuming food within the United States.
According to Food Safety News, those impacted did not report any international travel in the 14 days prior to their illness. Authorities have not yet identified the specific food product responsible for the spread of the parasite.
