World Food Safety Day took place on 7 June, with a variety of stakeholders and regional groups organising events to highlight the importance of food security and safety.
According to Food Safety News, the celebrations included a hybrid event hosted by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation on 8 June. This particular session focused on the role of Codex texts in addressing the challenges of foodborne illnesses.
