Salmonella outbreak hits Denmark

Thirteen people have fallen ill with Salmonella Typhimurium in a recent outbreak of unknown origin.

Health authorities in Denmark are investigating a cluster of Salmonella Typhimurium infections. According to Food Safety News, the Statens Serum Institut has recorded 13 cases occurring between 4 August and 13 August.

The affected group consists of eight women and five men, with patients aged 14 and older. Officials have not yet identified the specific food or drink source responsible for the outbreak.
