Kenya has opened the Marindas seed potato centre to address a supply gap of 126,000 tons. The facility is designed to stabilise the domestic market by increasing the availability of high-quality planting materials.
According to Food Business Africa, the centre focuses on supporting smallholder farmers. It provides essential access to certified seeds alongside training in enhanced agricultural techniques to boost overall crop yields.
