GNT’s Carbon Footprint Method Gains Independent Verification

The methodology measures lifecycle emissions associated with the company’s plant-based colouring ingredients.

GNT has secured independent verification of its Product Carbon Footprint methodology in line with the relevant ISO standard, Food & Beverage Asia reports. The company is described as one of the first food colour manufacturers worldwide to achieve this step.

The calculations cover greenhouse gas emissions throughout the lifecycle of each EXBERRY® colouring ingredient. Factors include agriculture, production energy use and transport.
