Florida coast bars popularized this vibrant blend in the 1980s to capture the essence of a tropical getaway. The drink mirrors a summer horizon, blending the sharp acidity of cranberry juice with the mellow sweetness of peach schnapps.
To get the best texture, I recommend using pulp-free orange juice, which keeps the cocktail silky and bright. Stirring the vodka and juices gently over ice ensures the flavours meld without over-diluting the spirit.
Serving Suggestions
- Garnish with a bright orange slice and a maraschino cherry for a classic look.
- Substitute pineapple juice for orange juice if you prefer a sweeter, more indulgent profile.
- Scale up the ingredients to create a chilled pitcher for a summer gathering.
