Cargill is preparing to release NextCoa, a chocolate alternative that does not rely on cocoa. The product was developed through a partnership with Voyage Foods.
According to Food Dive, the initiative is intended to help food companies future-proof their supplies. This new option provides a way to maintain production despite the volatility of traditional cocoa sourcing.
