The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has recorded 2,073 food and feed safety incidents across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland during 2025-2026. This represents a 14 per cent rise compared to the 1,825 incidents reported in the previous period.
According to Food Safety News, the agency warns that these cases are becoming more complex. This trend is being driven by the growth of online marketplaces and the intricacies of global supply chains.
