An ongoing outbreak of Cyclospora parasite infections has seen a rise in patient numbers, with the source linked to iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms.
According to Food Safety News, Michigan has reported 6,571 patients, an increase from the 6,148 cases recorded on 20 July. Ohio has also updated its figures, with a current count of 2,029 infections.
