Phytolon Boosts Natural Dye Production

Phytolon Boosts Natural Dye Production

An Israeli food tech firm has raised $23.6m to scale its fermentation-based food colourings.

Phytolon has successfully secured $23.6m in Series B funding to accelerate the commercial availability of its natural food dyes. The Israeli company utilises fermentation to create colourings, offering an alternative to synthetic additives.

According to FDI Forum, the investment comes as food manufacturers experience increasing pressure to remove artificial dyes from their products. This funding will allow the firm to scale its production capabilities to meet growing industry demand.
