A group of major industry players has launched new guidance aimed at reducing the risk of bacterial spores within plant-based drink ingredients. The initiative seeks to enhance overall food safety as the market for these alternatives continues to grow.
According to DairyReporter, the new standards are backed by Tetra Pak, Ripple Foods and FrieslandCampina. The collaboration focuses on helping suppliers implement better controls to manage spore risks during the production process.
