Ten countries across Latin America are participating in a new initiative designed to bolster national food safety systems. The project focuses on the implementation of risk analysis to ensure higher safety standards.
According to Food Safety News, the effort is being spearheaded by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO/WHO). A university from the US is serving as one of the leading entities in the project.
