Maple Leaf Foods Inc. has issued a recall for 12,036 pounds of refrigerated smoked bacon. The products, which are not ready-to-eat, were imported from Canada into the United States.
According to Food Safety News, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that the recall was triggered because the items did not undergo the required import reinspection at the border.
