The Philippines is working towards the commercial rollout of a Vietnamese vaccine designed to fight African Swine Fever. According to Food Business Africa, the government expects this approval to be finalised by the third quarter of 2026.
In a parallel effort to bolster the hog industry, the government has also initiated a local vaccine development programme. This domestic project is supported by an investment of US$2.43 million to aid in the recovery of the sector.
