Kenya has continued to lead at the Mombasa Tea Auction during the first half of 2026. According to a report by Food Business Africa, farmers in the region have earned US$424 million from their tea exports.
The strong financial performance comes at a time of tension within the sector. Industry professionals have expressed concerns regarding the impact of a recently introduced export levy on the market.
